Cisadane River is one of the natural tourist destination located in Tangerang District, Banten Province. River which has a length of about 80 km and sourced from Mount Salak and Mount Pangrango this, is the source of life for people in surrounding areas, such as for irrigation, industrial needs, and sources of drinking water. Aside from being a source of life, the river also serves as the natural attractions and sports white water rafting. Cisadane River has several tributaries, namely Cisodong, Cibogo, Citempuan, Cianten, Cisidangbarang, and Cipanas, all of which empties into the sea of ??Java.
Cisadane River is famous for its beautiful natural scenery. Along the banks of this river there are a variety of verdant vegetation, unique rocks, gardens to relax, dam Dutch heritage, and housing residents who lined up neatly.
For the beauty of the natural scenery along this river, visitors can do it while exercising rafting. Sports rafting on the River Cisadane divided into two packages, namely amateur packet (for families) and adventur package (for the professional class). For the amateur packet, starting from the bridge Ciampea start and end at Kampung Pasir, with a mileage of about 7 miles and takes approximately 2 hours. While for the adventure package, starting from the DAM Balandongan start and end at Quarrying Sand Mountain Bluebird, Rancamaya village, South Bogor sub-district, with the distance about 12 km and takes approximately 3 hours.
Another specialty, visitors can also see Cisadane Festival held every year once, namely in June. In this festival, visitors can see the variety of entertainment and competitions, such as race kole-kole, dragon boat races, entertainment dangdut performances, puppet show, and others. On this river there is also an annual tradition, namely, mass shampooing bath implemented in order to welcome the coming month of Ramadan.
Cisadane River is located in two regions of the province, the Province of Banten and West Java Province, Indonesia. To get to the tourist sites Cisadane River, the trip can be started from Bogor and Terminal Station Freedom. If visitors from Bogor station, can hire a car or take a taxi with a fare of less than Rp 30.000 – Rp 35,000 (July 2008) and get off at Ciampea. Whereas, if the Terminal Freedom, visitors ride the city transportation department Bantarkambing – Ciampea.
